Scholarship Requirements
At the Beverly Beall & R. Kemp Riechmann Foundation, our commitment extends beyond providing financial assistance. We believe in building meaningful relationships with students and supporting their academic, personal, and professional growth throughout their educational journey.
As a scholarship recipient, you become part of our Foundation family. To ensure continued eligibility and maximize the opportunities available to you, recipients are expected to meet the following requirements.
Academic Requirements
Recipients must maintain:
- A minimum semester GPA of 2.5
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Enrollment in at least 12 credit hours per semester
Students who enroll in fewer than 12 credit hours may have their scholarship funding adjusted accordingly.
If academic challenges arise, we encourage you to communicate with us early. Our goal is to support your success, not simply monitor your progress.
Transcript Requirements
To verify academic standing, recipients must submit transcripts each academic year.
Fall Semester- Submit an unofficial transcript following completion of the fall semester.
- Arrange for an official transcript to be sent directly from your educational institution to the Foundation following completion of the spring semester.
Mentorship Participation
As an operating foundation, mentorship is a core component of our scholarship program.
Recipients are expected to participate in mentoring meetings and maintain regular communication with Foundation leadership.
These conversations provide an opportunity to:
- Discuss academic progress
- Explore career goals
- Navigate challenges
- Celebrate achievements
- Receive guidance and encouragement
Communication Expectations
One of the most important requirements of our scholarship program is communication.
Recipients are responsible for keeping the Foundation informed of any significant updates, including:
- Changes to contact information
- Academic achievements
- Awards and recognitions
- Changes in major or educational plans
- Leadership positions
- Internships or employment opportunities
- Personal challenges that may impact academic success
We want to hear about both the successes and the struggles so we can best support you throughout your journey.
